As if you hadn't known,
The love I have for you,
Is like sugar on a cone.

Too many words to say,
Our love very special,
No matter where we stay.

Soon the world will know,
The feelings that I have,will never be the same.

My life as a poet,
I can't explain,
But it's pretty amazing,
When you have talent like me.

My life as a poet,
As if you didn't know,
The words that I write,
Are like songs from above.

My life as a poet,
Some day I'll know,
That I was just like Maya,
From long ago.

A Poem For Aaliyah


You left us in your presence,
You died without a word,
You sing from your heart,
And now you are gone.

Your life left too soon,
Your music is in my heart,
But where ever you go,
Your music will still be art.

You inspire me to be strong,
You help me through this strorm,
But, no matter what happens,
You will never be forgotten.

A song is my heart,
Your music is in my soul,
But when you died in that plane crash, on August 25th,
Every happy feeling had left my dreamy heart.
